Our company website has changed analytics tool from Google analytics 3 to Matomo (we were supposed to change to GA4 but due to GDPR compliance we never really had GA4 before changing to Matomo).
The issue I have is that I can’t see any historical data on what has been dowloaded on our website. I have been by the company doing the implementation that certain data can’t be transferred from GA to Matomo, downloads being one due to different ways of storing and reading data between the systems. I have looked online and can’t find any information that verifies that claim.
Is it true that we can’t import and see the downloads data to be shown in Matomo (in a separate dashboard with historical data)?
