We’ve noticed an issue with the download report in Matomo: a given file shows up in the report until the start date of the report gets extended in the past more than a certain date, i.e.
- Report time window set from 2025-04-12 to today (2025-05-22): file shows up in the report list
- Report time window set from 2025-04-11 to today (2025-05-22): file does not show up in the report list
It does not make sense since when going further back in time while keeping the same end date, more downloads should show up in the report, not less.
Did anyone else come across the same issue? Is it known by the Matomo maintainers?
This issue for sure does not help build trust in Matomo’s reporting.
