In Matomo > Behaviour > Pages I am getting a list of strange URLs for my website which I do not recognise.
The URLs are of the form https://example.com/?x=12345678901234 i.e. after “x=” there is a 14 digit number.
My questions are as follows:
- Are these legitimate, non-malicious page requests?
- Should I be blocking all “?x=” queries to my website e.g. at the firewall level?
- If these are legitimate page requests (e.g. from search engines) what is the best way to exclude these from Matomo data?
