Hi Matomo team,
I’m on Matomo 5.6.1 and I believe there’s a bug in the E-commerce Overview comparison.
In E-commerce → Overview, switching the comparison mode to Previous year updates the comparison date range correctly, but the spark lines and percentage deltas still reflect “Previous period” instead of last year.
This makes the “Previous year” deltas identical to “Previous period”, even though the YoY difference is much larger.

Steps to reproduce

Go to E-commerce → Overview

Set the date range to Last 30 days

In the comparison drop down, choose Previous period
- Observe that spark lines and % deltas update correctly.

Change comparison to Previous year

The comparison date span changes correctly to last year

But spark lines and % deltas stay the same as in “Previous period”

Expected behavior
When Previous year is selected:

spark lines should plot data from the previous-year period
-
% deltas should be recalculated against that previous-year period
-
deltas should therefore differ from the “Previous period” deltas
Actual behavior

comparison date span changes to previous year (correct)

spark lines still show previous-period trend

% deltas are identical to previous-period deltas
